Christian Pulisic has signed a contract extension with Germany’s Borussia Dortmund through June 2020.

The 18-year-old midfielder from Hershey, Pa., signed with Dortmund in February 2015 and made his Bundesliga debut in January 2016.

He scored twice in 12 games last season and has two goals in 19 matches this year. Pulisic also made his U.S. national team debut last year. Dortmund announced the new deal on Monday.

A 16-year-old boy who was playing soccer on Long Island was attacked by a group of people who cut him, police said. 

The victim was playing soccer at Manor Field Park in Huntington Station, Suffock County police said. A group of men or boys approached him and cut him with a sharp object, police said.

It’s been nearly two months since a plane crash killed almost an entire soccer team in Brazil. The team’s home city of Chapeco has been trying to rebuild, and so has the team. In December, to honor the dead, fans gathered in the stadium, which was filled with coffins. Yesterday they were back again, this time to see the team’s first game since the disaster.

On Saturday, the Power Soccer Academy of Marquette held a training camp at Northern Michigan University, lead by the head coach of FC Kansas City, a professional women’s soccer team.
